Dr. Anne johnson
Owner, DC, AVCA, IVCA
Dr. Anne is a lifelong horsewoman and animal lover. She grew up on a farm in the Midwest. With acreage and not much else, Anne took to horses. She got her first horse at five years old and never looked back.
Anne’s love for horses only blossomed when she got the opportunity to work for a retired racehorse facility. Here she found her true love: Thoroughbreds. She bought her heart horse, Noa, at this facility, and so the journey to TxT Chiropractic began.
She obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic from the esteemed University of Western States in Portland, OR, and then went on to receive her animal certification from the Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic in Kansas.

The aim of chiropractic care is to address biomechanical imbalances in the body to allow for better movement and function. When left untreated, these imbalances, also called joint dysfunction or subluxations, can cause pain, inflammation, impingements, gait abnormalities and more.
-
Though less researched than chiropractic on humans, chiropractic care has been proven to be safe for animals. It should only be performed by a licensed vet or chiropractor who has additional training.

Almost any horse can benefit from an adjustment. Regular chiropractic care can help prevent injury and lameness.
Changes in movement or mood are a good indicator that an adjustment might be worthwhile for your horse. Additionally, if your horse has had a recent injury, it’s a good idea to have them adjusted to ensure they heal properly and they aren’t compensating in the rest of their body.
Note: If your animal has experienced any kind of trauma or is significantly lame, please contact your veterinarian first.
